A friend who is a genius with wood gave me a box of fumed oak offcuts which were curved at both ends. I tried endlessly to make sense of them....

some of them in half, and a few of these gathered together, resembled Phormium Tenax.
The addition of some bent brass wire completed the work and satisfactorily undermined the title.
