Rose English has been writing, directing and performing her own work for over 45 years. Celebrated works such as Quadrille (1975, 2013) have been revisited since their original staging, and are now part of major collections including TATE, to be discovered by new audiences and emerging generations of artists.
English will discuss the act of re-making an artwork; how it adapts to new contexts and the framing evolves. Central to this is the physicality of archival materials and the array of ephemera and objects, which English has embraced in re-telling the story of some of her most notable works.
